Today I visited the the L.A. Arboretum. I tried to paint reflections in the water. Beautiful fall day in Southern California.

Does the change of season inspire everyone else?

Planning Our Next Workshop

Hello everybody!

Just wanted to check in with all of you & post a quick update while traveling!
I'm currently in Avignon, Palais Des Papes, a great city to wander about in on the start of my planning trip.

Just back from Maurice River School of Painting workshop in Millville, NJ. Here's an oil sketch from Burcham Farm last week; it's the sole remaining dyked farm in New Jersey.

Isle of Arran, Scotland 2011

In addition to daily art instruction by our very gifted Master Artist, Stan Sperlak, and on-site painting at some breathtaking locations, there’s a bagpiper, distillery tour, cheese tasting, and Burns Supper on tap, as well as great food prepared by our two chefs. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make new acquaintances and enjoy the company of fellow artists. Arran is a beautiful spot with lots to do for non-artists as well.
